Individual/Couples Therapy Fee
The individual therapy fee is $90.00/hour. For couples therapy, the fee is $100/hour. Payment
must be made at the onset of each session. If more than three (3) consecutive sessions have
occurred without payment, termination or referral of services may be considered, and will be
discussed with the client. I accept cash, check, or PayPal as methods of payment.
Group Therapy Fee
1. Initial session = $90.00
2. 6-Week Group Therapy (Individual) = $390.00 ($65.00 per session)
3. 6-Week Group Therapy (Couple) = $585.00
10% Discount if paid in full before the first group session
Phone Consultation
Once you become a client of record, phone consultations are occasionally necessary. After the
first ten (10) minutes of phone consultation, clients are billed $20.00 per ten (10) minutes {with
a $20.00 minimum}. Clients will subsequently be billed. Clients also have the option of using
PayPal as a method of payment for a phone consultation.
Please see the examples below:
Example A: Thirty (30) minute phone consultation
First ten (10) minutes = free of charge
Remaining twenty (20) minutes of phone consultation = $40.00
Example B: Forty-five (45) minute phone consultation
First ten (10) minutes = free of charge
Remaining thirty-five (35) minutes of phone consultation = $70.00
Your insurance company may or may not cover phone consultations. Please contact your
insurance company regarding their phone consultation coverage.
Discount Package
You may purchase a three (3) session package or a five (5) session package which allows you
to pre-pay for three (3) or five (5) sessions in advance for a ten percent (10%) discount of my
normal session fee. The discounted packages are valid for six months from the date of
payment. Payment is non-refundable, and sessions are non-transferable. "No-show" or
canceled appointments will be counted against your session balance (see Cancellation Policy
below). Please view the fee schedule below.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of an existing appointment must be made at least twenty-four (24) hours in
advance. If the appointment is canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, clients
are billed $90.00. Please be aware that most if not all insurance companies do not
reimburse for "no-show" or canceled appointments, and the client will be responsible
for the full amount. Unforeseen or emergency situations will be taken under consideration.
Payment Plans
I do not offer a sliding scale. However, I do offer payment plans. Please contact me for further
details.
Insurance
Understandably, many people prefer to use their medical insurance to cover their
psychotherapy costs. However, there are a few things to consider before using your medical
insurance for psychotherapy. First, insurance companies require that I diagnose you with a
mental illness which becomes a part of your health record. Further, your level of privacy is
compromised. There may be times when I will need to speak with your insurance company to
explain why further sessions are medically needed. Thus, a third party (someone who doesn't
know you or your issues) can and will decide whether your therapy should be paid for by the
insurance company. Also, it is not unusual for medical records to be subpoenaed in a court
proceeding, and your mental health records would be included.
At this time, I am a member the of Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance panel. I can help you file
your insurance claims if you are covered by another insurance carrier. Keep in mind that I will
still be required to give you a mental illness diagnosis. Please contact me to discuss your
options.
